I arrived the day before the show, roamed around the historical part of the city, fell in love with the warm architecture, human size buildings with a lot of covered pathways where people can walk, and shop ...

where sunlight entering a grove

shines back to me from the green moss

There is a vitality

a life force

a quickening that is translat...

Being in the present

Posted on June 20, 2019 at 8:45 PM Comments comments (0)

The past is the past and can't be changed, the future is inevitably unknown for the most part, so only the present seems worth to be focused on. "Enso (formally spelled ensō;) is a sacred symbol in Zen Buddhism meaning circle, or sometimes, circle of togetherness. It is traditionally drawn using only one brushstroke as a meditative practice in letting go of the mind and allowing the body to create, as the singular brushstroke allows for no modifications". Some paintings seems to belong to nature.

When you know me well you know I am a big nature lover. It transpires in all my paintings. With this particularly piece I feel a very strong connection between  the painting and my environment.
